Apple CEO Tim Cook responded to the New Year’s Eve attack on an Istanbul nightclub on Twitter, sending out a message in Turkish to express solidarity with the country.

“Dear Turkey, we share your pain and your sadness. #Istanbul our hearts with you,” Cook said, according to a translation by Dataminr.

The attack left at least 39 dead and dozens more injured at the hands of an armed terrorist who opened fire inside the posh Reina nightclub, popular among Turks and foreigners alike. Prime Minister Binali Yiid thldirim saere was not yet “concrete” evidence of who was responsible, and no one immediately claimed credit for the attack.
