The flier was mostly posted as a joke.

Maine’s police force is hoping to get drug dealers to turn in their rival drug dealers in a bid to catch criminals.

The Winslow police department posted a flier on Facebook on Monday asking drug dealers to fill out a form with the name, address, and phone numbers of the other drug dealers in their areas, according to the Associated Press.

The flier reads: “Attention Drug Dealers. Is your competition costing you customers, and MONEY?” It continues: “We’re here to help!”

As the AP notes:

The Winslow Police Department isn’t the only law enforcement agency trying the unusual approach. Authorities in Massachusetts, Kentucky and Georgia are among those who have made their own tongue-in-cheek postings.
